Member Spotlight: Frank Calabrese

Frank Louis Calabrese is a Jersey City, NJ born and raised actor, writer, director, and producer. He graduated Kean University with a BA in Theatre in 2017. Frank is passionate about using his work to shine a light on issues and relatable topics in today’s society. Frank has lived in New Jersey all of his life and is compelled to create theatre, film, and television that can be enjoyed by everyone in the world. Frank’s first theatre opportunity was as an understudy for the roles of Sal & Brian in the Premiere Stages production of By The Water. Frank was also in the Kean Theatre Conservatory production of The Boys Next Door (Barry Klemper). Frank recently wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his debut short film titled, “The Outcome”, which will have a release date soon. Also, Frank most recently read for a new film by Crossroads Entertainment and Asbury Films’ very own, T.J. Mancini.

Member Spotlight: Giò Crisafulli

Giò Crisafulli is a producer, writer, director, editor, and actor. He has produced, written, directed, and edited a handful of shorts and one feature for Zio Ciccio Cinema. He has a Bachelor Degree in Communication and International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College, and graduated the two-year training program at the William Esper Studio in the study of the Meisner technique. He has acted in a number of television movies and commercials for Japanese production company Fujisankei, was in “Blizhniy Boy: The Ultimate Fighter” starring David Carradine and Eric Roberts, and played real New York Mets second baseman Felix Millian in the television movie, “Mitch Albom’s For One More Day”. He was an honorary member of the African Women’s Repertory Theater where he performed in dozens of original plays, and was a member of the Michael Chekhov Theater Company performing in numerous productions of the works of Sam Shepard and John Patrick Shanley.

Member Spotlight: Valentina Ferrante

Valentina Ferrante is a highly trained Italian American NYC actress who studied at the prestigious HB Studio, Stella Adler Conservatory, and upon special request from Anna Strasberg, went on to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute. She continues her acting career in NY where she currently resides. Valentina has a compelling way of bringing characters to life in her comedic and dramatic roles. Member Spotlight: Christie Peruso

Christie Peruso started her career in theatre in NYC as a teenager, and at 19 years old became a member of Actor’s Equity Association. In 2011, after studying at American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she was scouted by an international modeling agency in Milan, and stepped away from acting for 5 years to model across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the US. Within the first year of returning to acting in 2016, she landed roles in Of Kings and Prophets (ABC), as “Tatiana” in A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits (Warner Bros), as “Harriet” in Blood Drive (SyFy), and as “Geo-Tech Vargas” in Tremors 6 (Universal Pictures.) In 2018, Christie was invited to attend the International Film and TV Dialogue in Johannesburg to further improve women’s working conditions in Film, TV, and screen-based industries. Recently at both the Cape Town Film Festival and at the Women’s Initiative hosted by the Motion Picture Association, Christie championed improving conditions for women in the film industry.

Christie is a strong advocate for female screenwriters, and is herself one. She writes in both English and Italian, and is currently developing an Italian family comedy.

As of 2019, Christie is based in Milan and New York.
