Kaya Scodelario on Crawl | NOIAFT

Actress Kaya Scodelario speaks with NOIAFT founder, Taylor Taglianetti, about her upcoming Paramount film, Crawl, the entertainment business and her career.

Kaya is a British actress of Brazilian, Italian and English descent, who grew up in West Sussex, England. She began her acting career in 2007, when she was cast as Effy Stonem in the beloved British series “Skins,” and was one of the only characters to appear in all four seasons of the show.

Scodelario starred as the female lead in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” alongside Johnny Depp. Scodelario is perhaps most widely known in the US for her role in “The Maze Runner” film series, based on the popular novels by James Dashner. In 2019, Scodelario appeared in the film, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” about the life of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, which will premiere at Sundance in 2019.

Scodelario’s additional film credits include “Shank,” “Clash of the Titans,” “Wuthering Heights,” “Twenty8k,” “Now Is Good,” “The Truth About Emanuel” with Jessica Biel, “Tiger House,” and “The King’s Daughter” with Pierce Brosnan and Benjamin Walker.
