MARCO BALDONADO ON “TOTO”

Recorded on April 30, 2020, Canadian director, Marco Baldonado, spoke with NOIAFT founder, Taylor Taglianetti, about his short film, TOTO, which was recently nominated for Best Narrative Short at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.

The film tells the story of Rosa Forlano, a 90 year old Nonna who falls in love with a robot while teaching it how to make spaghetti. Unfortunately, her recipe is forgotten after a software update.

From May 29th to June 7th, TOTO, will screen on YouTube as a part of the WE ARE ONE Global Film Festival, an initiative to raise funds for COVID-19 relief. See below for the film:

Marco Baldonado is a Canadian filmmaker. At the age of 16 he won best music video in a Sony Ericsson contest. He used his earnings towards accomplishing his BFA in Film Studies at Ryerson University. His work focuses on visually striking and heartfelt storytelling.
